WIESBADEN – 88,017 people died in Germany in November 2023, according to extrapolated figures of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). This corresponds roughly to the 2019 to 2022 median for that month (+1%). An examination of individual calendar weeks reveals that the figures at the start of the month (Week 44, from 30 October to 5 November) exceeded the corresponding comparative value by a somewhat larger margin (+4%). In the other weeks in November, the difference was between -2% and +3%.
