WIESBADEN – The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that the monthly index of agreed hourly earnings, excluding extra payments, rose by 4.8% in the period from December 2015 to December 2017. The rate of change published earlier has been revised upwards by 0.1 percentage points. This has been done in the context of the routine rebasing of all indices of agreed earnings to the new base year 2015, which involved recalculation as from reference year 2015.
