WIESBADEN – In 2015, roughly 137,700 German students were enrolled at institutions of higher education abroad. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a slight increase of 0.5%, or 700 students, compared with 2014. For every 1,000 German students at domestic institutions of higher education there were 57 German students abroad in 2015. This ratio had remained nearly constant since 2013 when it stood at 58.
