Press Retail turnover in February 2018: +1.3% in real terms on February 2017

Retail turnover, February 2018
• -0.7% on the previous month (in real terms, calendar and seasonally adjusted, provisional)
• -0.7% on the previous month (in nominal terms, calendar and seasonally adjusted, provisional)
• + 1.3% on the same month a year earlier (in real terms, provisional)
• + 2.5% on the same month a year earlier (in nominal terms, provisional)

WIESBADEN – According to provisional data turnover in retail trade in February 2018 was in real terms 1.3% and in nominal terms 2.5% larger than in February 2017. The number of days open for sale was 24 in February 2018 and in February 2017.

When adjusted for calendar and seasonal variations (Census-X-12-ARIMA), the February turnover was in real terms and in nominal terms 0.7% smaller than that in January 2018.

Every five years, the figures for retail turnover are subject to a regular adaption, which has now been completed. The results now refer to the new base year of 2015.
