Spatial coverage: The data published by the FAO is available for more than 180 countries.
Statistical range: The database FAOSTAT consists of numerous subsections including agricultural production, trade, consumption of agricultural products, agricultural prices, resources, employees, forestry and fishery.
Periodicity / time series: All indicators are available as annual time series and are generally available from 1961 onwards.
Charges / registration: The database is free of charge and accessible without registration. A registration option is available enabling users to download larger database extractions. Registration is currently subject to a fee, but this policy is currently under review.
