14 March 2023 Button mushroom yield down 6% in 2022

In 2022, 76,100 tonnes of button mushrooms were harvested in Germany. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a year-on-year decline of 6%. Nevertheless, after 2021 and 2020, it was the third largest yield since the collection of data on mushroom harvests began in 2012. Compared with the ten-year average from 2012 to 2021, the button mushroom yield was 13% higher in 2022.
