The share of foreign-controlled enterprises1 is measured by the number of foreign-controlled enterprises2 divided by the total number of enterprises in non-financial trade and industry.

2: From the reporting year 2018 onwards, the results for enterprises are published according to the EU enterprise definition. Up to reporting year 2017, "legal units" were referred to as enterprises.
