26/05/2025 – For reference year 2023, a total (monthly and annual respondents) of roughly 449.2 million megawatt hours of electricity was declared. 437.6 million megawatt hours (97.4%) were subject to the standard tax rate of 20.50 euros.
The tax revenue due totalled 9.1 billion euros in 2023; 9.0 billion euros of this amount resulted from taxation according to the standard tax rate.
