| The regional allocation is based on the location of the waste water treatment plant (WWTP). 1: No multiple responses. 2: Multiple responses possible. 3: Pursuant to the German Sewage Sludge Ordinance (AbfKlärV), as amended. 4: Utilisation in or on soil used for agriculture. 5: For example, recultivation. 6: This only includes plants that have humified or composted quantities themselves in the current reporting year or have transferred quantities to other plants for humification and composting. The quantities may also have been used to produce mixtures of sewage sludge and other materials under the Fertiliser Ordinance (Düngemittelverordnung), as amended. 7: For example in sewage sludge incineration plants or via pyrolysis, or gasification, low temperature conversion LTC (LTC) and hydrothermal carbonisation HTC (HTC).
