In 2015, 1.97 million patients received in-patient treatment in a prevention or rehabilitation facility. This was a decrease of 3,600 treatment cases, or 0.2%, compared with a year earlier.
Approximately 164,700 beds were available in the 1,153 prevention or rehabilitation facilities. Most of the prevention or rehabilitation facilities were operated by private organisations, which offered nearly two thirds of all beds (65.9%). Facilities run by public bodies accounted for just 18.6% of the beds available. Independent non-profit organisations offered the smallest proportion of beds (15.5%).
