Publication A changing population - Assumptions and results of the 14th coordinated population projection

This brochure was created to accompany the Federal Statistical Office’s press conference held on 27 June 2019 under the title “A changing population: results of the 14th coordinated population projection”. It provides an overview of the key results and assumptions of the 14th population projection, a coordinated effort of the statistical offices of the Federation and the Länder. The focus of the brochure is on demographic developments in Germany. The results relating to regional trends are set out in the publications entitled “Bevölkerungsentwicklung in den Bundesländern bis 2060”
