Evolution of mobility by geographical area during the alarm state by COVID-19
The objective of this study is to have a good approximation to the mobility or immobility of the Spanish population during the State of Alarm, from March 15 with respect to a normal situation, that is, to estimate how many people are leaving their households during working hours on these days, as well as to which areas they travel during working hours, in relation to the flows that can be observed on a normal day.
Data come from the analysis of the position of more than 80% of mobile phones throughout Spain. The analysis has been prepared by INE in close collaboration with the three main mobile phone operators (Orange, Telefónica, Vodafone). Data are offered from March 16 every other day and from March 31, daily data.
The results are presented in tables, graphs and interactive maps.
