Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Union, regularly publishes a detailed comparison of the gross domestic product (GDP) growth rates in the European Union (EU) and the eurozone based on data it receives from the EU Member States.

The GDP is the most important economic indicator and is indicative of a country's economic situation. It measures the economic performance of a country over a given period.
