Europe Germany has highest health expenditure in EU

In 2021, current health expenditure in Germany amounted to 12.9% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in Germany. This was the highest share of all 27 EU Member States. Luxembourg was at the other end of the scale. Here health expenditure amounted to 5.7% of GDP. The EU average for health expenditure amounted to 10.9% of GDP.
