Europe Not enough money to keep homes heated in winter

The EU-SILC survey 2024 shows that 9.2% of the population in the European Union was financially unable to adequately heat their homes. This problem was most widespread in Bulgaria and Greece (each 19.0%), Lithuania (18.0%) and Spain (17.5%). At 6.3%, Germany was below the EU average. The least affected EU country was Finland (2.7%), followed by Slovenia and Poland (each 3.3%).
