1 The reference year for determining the at-risk-of-poverty rate for EU-SILC
(LEBEN IN EUROPA) is the year prior to the year in which the survey is taken.
2 Ratio between the total income of the top fifth and that of the bottom fifth of the income distribution.
3 The Gini coefficient is a measure of inequality of income distribution.
The values of the coefficient range between 0 and 100% (the more unequal the distribution, the more the value will approximate 100%).
