WIESBADEN – German local courts reported 1,664 business insolvencies in January 2017. According to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), that was a decline of 1.6% compared with January 2016.
The local courts reported that, in relation to the business insolvency requests, the prospective debts owed to creditors amounted to approximately 1.8 billion euros in January 2017. In January 2016 they totalled just under 1.1 billion euros.
