In 2024, 29% of the executive positions in Germany were held by women. Germany ranked in the lower third of all Member States of the European Union (EU). With a 44% proportion of female executives, Sweden topped the EU list. Relatively high proportions were also recorded in Latvia (43%), Poland (42%) and Hungary (41%). With just 25%, Cyprus was at the bottom of the list. On an EU average, one in three executives was a woman (35%).
