WIESBADEN – Now that the Christmas and New Year celebrations are over many travel enthusiasts are planning their holidays for 2018. Holidays are less expensive in southern and eastern European countries than in Germany, while they are more expensive in western and northern Europe. To coincide with CMT - The Holiday Exhibition, which will be held in Stuttgart from 13 to 21 January 2018, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) has extrapolated comparative price level indices especially for restaurant and hotel services in the European Union (EU) and other European countries.
