WIESBADEN – Youth welfare offices in Germany carried out approximately 143,300 procedures to assess child endangerment in 2017. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was an increase of 4.6% on the previous year. Just over 45,700 cases of child endangerment were recorded in 2017, which was a slightly lesser number (-0.1%) than in 2016, despite the increasing number of procedures.
