WIESBADEN – In 2018, the euro was the currency most frequently used for German exports to countries outside the European Union (third countries). The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that, in terms of value, 57.6% of Germany's exports to third countries were invoiced in euros. 27.7% of the export transactions were made in US dollars. Only 14.7% of exports were paid for in other currencies.
