Price ceilings for calculating concession fees:
Electricity: +4.3% on the previous year
Gas: -1.0% on the previous year
WIESBADEN – In 2019, energy suppliers in Germany received an average 25.3 cents per kilowatt hour of electricity they sold to household customers. According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), this was a 3.5% increase compared with 2018. Average proceeds from gas sales to household customers amounted to 5.05 cents per kilowatt hour, which was an increase of 3.2% on 2018. Average proceeds from sales to all final consumers, including businesses, amounted to 17.85 cents per kilowatt hour of electricity (+3.7%) and 3.44 cents per kilowatt hour of gas (-1.0%).
