WIESBADEN – In 2020, 28,100 students received a Germany Scholarship in accordance with the Scholarship Programme Act. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the number of scholarship holders fell slightly by 0.3% on the previous year for the first time since the programme was introduced. Measured against the provisional total of students in the winter semester of 2020/2021, the proportion of those on a scholarship was 1.0%, as a year earlier.
