+1.4% on the same month a year earlier (provisional)
+0.5% on the previous month (provisional)

WIESBADEN – The inflation rate in Germany as measured by the consumer price index is expected to be 1.3% in March 2019. Based on the results available so far, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the consumer prices are expected to increase by 0.4% on February 2019.

In March 2019, the harmonised index of consumer prices for Germany, which is calculated for European purposes, is expected to increase by 1.4% year on year and 0.5% on February 2019.

The final results for March 2019 will be released on 11 April 2019.
