WIESBADEN – Even before the corona crisis, every second person in Germany communicated via video chat or internet telephony. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that, in the first quarter of 2019, 52% of the roughly 74 million people from the age of 10 in Germany (video)phoned, for example, via Skype, Zoom, Facetime, WhatsApp or Viber.
