16 December 2021 49 million people in Germany buy online

80% of those aged 16 to 74 years in Germany have ordered goods or services via the internet at least once in their lives. Based on results of the 2021 survey of the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in households, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that this is just under 49 million people.
