Prices of residential property, 4th quarter of 2020 (provisional)
+8.1% on the same quarter of the previous year
+2.6% on the previous quarter
WIESBADEN – The prices of residential property (house price index) in Germany were an average 8.1% higher in the fourth quarter of 2020 than in the same quarter of the previous year. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the prices of dwellings and single-family and two-family houses were up an average 2.6% compared with the third quarter of 2020. This means that the trend of rising residential property prices continued despite the continuing corona pandemic, as it did in the previous quarters.
