31 May 2023 Agreed earnings in 1st quarter of 2023 up 2.7% year on year

Agreed earnings in Germany rose by an average of 2.7% in the first quarter of 2023 compared with the same quarter a year earlier. This is shown by the index of agreed monthly earnings including extra payments. Agreed earnings excluding extra payments rose by 2.5% compared with the same quarter of the previous year. Consumer prices increased by 8.3% over the same period.
